Selections are open to athletes even if they do not come from martial arts schools who have psychophysical characteristics suitable for Lion Dance performances to be performed on elevated structures.

The selection includes:
- test for the evaluation of the general athletic estate
- tests of simple pre-acrobatic techniques
- balance assessment test
